Designer (Digital Artist/Art Collector/ Archivist/ Designer/Horologist)
b. 6 July 1949
Content facilitator, designer, digital realisation, change-force agent, collector, curator, artist, self-publisher of artist books.
As an artist who exhibits in Australia and internationally, I specialise in collage, graphic design and artist books. An enthusiastic collector since the 1970s, I have been an avid supporter of the contemporary visual-art scene in Brisbane. I was a board member of the Institute of Modern Art (IMA) from 1975 to 1984.
I also collect advertising, commercial photographic memorabilia, hand-made objects and ‘found’ drawings, items that I have long referred to as ‘urban archaeology’.
Works from my collection are often selected as part of exhibitions in the UQ Art Museum. They are also borrowed from time to time for exhibitions by other state and university galleries.
