BARI 2018 – Community Forum – MAR 11 BARI 2018 – Orleigh Park, West End, Brisbane

Hello Brisbane ARI community!

BARI is back for 2018 and we’re keen to get the ball rolling. We have proposed a community forum to bring everything together and chat about what BARI 2018 could look like, and how everyone would like to be involved. This forum is for the whole community – past and present ARI’s, individuals keen to start an ARI or produce an event during the festival, and artists and individuals who are part of the community who would like a say. We will discuss the BARI vision for 2018 and beyond, and ideas for festival activities, talks and public programs. We will make sure there is some food available as as well so we can all catch up!

BARI Festival is slated for 4-25th October 2018. BARI (previously a biennial festival) brings together artist-run-initiatives, artists and arts practitioners throughout Queensland to support and cultivate artist-run-initiative culture. Since 2008, BARI has aimed to provide a platform that promotes a deeper interaction between local audiences and artist-run-initiatives. Join us as BARI shifts to an annual model, facilitating an increasing number of diverse activities, both in and outside of the festival format, with the overarching goal to support and cultivate ARI culture and activity within Brisbane and surrounds.
