Backyard: Zine Fair

The backyard is where we like to chill out, have a drink, read a magazine, and watch the sky change from day to night – this series of one night ‘Backyard’ events plans to do just that. Come together as a community with us and help support Meanjin’s emerging artists by purchasing zines, prints, stickers, small artworks, and much more! The artists receive 100% of their earnings, so make sure you come ready to snag some zines hot off the press.

EXTRA is a new archival art initiative in the form of an Australian networked zine and zine making [with Posters] collaboration. Building out from past, present and future ‘living’ archival initiatives, fanzines and participatory practices this new project celebrates contemporary networks of independent, grassroots DIY. From the artist-run to Queer, from LGBTQIA+, BIPOC to the  community-led, this new zine collaboration aims to be fun, open-ended and ongoing…

We are thrilled to announce we will also have a viewing copy available of the fabulous 86 page full colour A3 2016 art zine collaboration ARI Remix – The Scene Issue #1  – Nothing Happened along with artist designers Brian Doherty and Jane Richens. This copy is not for sale, its for viewing purposes only. Hopefully we will have a physical and collectable copy of the art zine available later this year 🙂
