Frances Cannon
Opening December 2018 - queer-run non-profit art space, Coburg, Melbourne Naarm, VIC

Frances Cannon

Frances Cannon (they/them) works predominantly in drawing and painting in ink, gouache and watercolour. Frances’ diaristic work examines what it’s like to be queer and woman-adjacent in contemporary times; looking at ideas of body-love and body-loathing, anxiety, relationships, sex and sexuality, gender, and bodily functions.

Pink Ember Studio

Pink Ember is proudly a queer artist-run initiative.

We are a not-for-profit, which serves as an inclusive centre for artists; providing art workshops, studios, exhibitions, and events.

First established in a small shop front on Ohea Street in Coburg during 2018, we have since relocated to a large venue on Allenby Street in Coburg North. Our new space features a front workshop/event area, 14 artist studios, as well as a dedicated ceramics studio at the back of the venue.
