House Conspiracy: PROVISIONAL

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the arts industry into hibernation. Our movements have been restricted and our spaces have been closed. House Conspiracy: PROVISIONAL is a residency programme to support artists’ continued practice, experimentation and sharing in the wake of physical distancing measures. A different experience, one of the time and space we find ourselves in now: separately, but not alone.

Each short-term residency will give artists the opportunity to work in a private studio where you can experiment, develop and create new work without breaking social distancing mandates. If awarded a short-term residency, artists will receive:

24/7 access to House Conspiracy for three weeks

Private and shared studio space*

Online studio crits with a collaborative network of cross-disciplinary practitioners

Assistance in documentation of their work and processes

Online exhibition at the end of the residency

Become part of House Conspiracy’s archive and alumni group

*Access to shared space is to be negotiated with private studio renters to ensure physical distancing is maintained. It is worth noting that House Conspiracy is not facilitating a live-in residency program, although it is allowing 24/7 access to the space for each curated artist. House Conspiracy has a basic kitchen and bathroom available for use by resident artists. If you have any questions or queries, please contact us at

Applications are due at 11.59pm on Sunday 17th May, 2020, and residencies will commence in June 2020.
